Mallory Zangla and Craig Taylor chose the newest venue in Pineville as the location for their wedding reception.  This venue is very unique and quaint.

Melvin and Zamora....May 28, 2011 Baton Rouge, LA

Melvin Anderson and Zamora James chose this special day for their wedding in Baton Rouge.
 Narcissus A Narcissus created a wonderful setting for the guests with eggplant and magenta. Cakes were by Gambinos Bakery and the wonderful atmosphere was provided by the many family members and friends of Melvin and Zamora in attendance.

Best Catered Events passed smoked drummettes, mini crawfish pies and Natchitoche Meat Pies.  Action stations were busy throughout the afternoon serving up chicken and sausage gumbo, Spinach and Garden Salads with all the fixings and Mashed Potatoes with all the accompaniments.  The main food tables were dressed with white floor length cloths garnished with red flowering kale, green apples, purple cabbages, and lots of glass with lime green accents.

Guests enjoyed Blackened Chicken Alfredo, Crawfish Etouffee with Rice, Crabmeat AuGratin, Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Chicken Salad Croissants, Mini Muffalettos, Deviled Eggs, BLT dip in savory cones, Smoked Beef Brisket, Turkey, Fresh Fruit with Gran Marnier Dip, Raspberry Hazelnut Torte and Raspberry Lemonade.

We so enjoyed this reception.  The guests were so complimentary, the setting beautiful and the couple wonderful to work with.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Sam Rosso - April 2, 2011, Greenwood Plantation

Adrienne Hardy married Sam Rosso at the beautiful Greenwood Plantation in St, Francisville, LA on Saturday, April 2, 2011.  The 200 family and friends gathered to help the newlyweds celebrate the occasion.  Best Catered Events provided food and bar services for the reception in the main dining hall of the plantatoin. Confections by Michelle provided the cakes and there were special touches all around the house

TARA GOT MARRIED!!!! DECEMBER 18, 2010

Best Catered Events provided the catering services for this wedding reception, Saturday evening, December 18, 2010 at the Alexandria Riverfront Center in beautiful downtown Alexandria, LA.

The bride loves red,,,.deep, dark red and there were accents everywhere in this ballroom. The BCE team created a caramel apple bar with Kathy and David Jones creating the dip and roll apples to order with red apples and a candy "bar" with all red and silver candies served by our attendant, Brenda LaBorde into shiny black Asian boxes. Did you want a Blow Pop or York Peppermint Pattie, or maybe a Twizzler or a cherry sour?

The food tables were decorated in black and silver, once again by the BCE team.  The bride definitely had a vision, and she and her decorators from the Dallas, TX area executed that vision beautifully.  We loved the bistro tables during the cocktail hour in the lobby, where guests were greeted by team members Jill, Cassie, and Brenda armed with trays of drinks and salmon mousse on a slipper spoon, voodoo cheese in mini cones, ham and asparagus rolls, shrimp mouse in mini martini glasses, and our Southern pork rolls.

Once the doors to the main ballroom opened, the jaws dropped as the vision was revealed...such attention to detail..,.detail....detail.  Each table was so unique and the bride's personality was really reflected.

Best Catered Events enjoyed working with Jacole', the day of coordinator and her entire team of professionals.  The wedding cake was gorgeous, full of crystals and bling and wowed the crowd.  The Cake Barn provided both that cake and the Green Bay Packers groom's cake.

This reception was unique, personal, well executed and definitely a show stopper.  Best Catered Events, always working with each bride to help create their "Vision".

Larcarte/Thomas Reception 3-20-2010

The Haas Auditorium in Bunkie was the setting the wedding and reception of Victoria Marie Larcarte and Jarvis Ray Thomas.

Wedding director Tyrhonda L. Thomas did an excellent job of keeping the afternoon running smoothly. The ceremony was beautiful and the bride was lovely and oh, so happy.

Best Catered Events owner Dianne Evans worked with the director to create that "special look" for the event. Team members, Pat Jones, Megan Dauzat, Jenny Dunkley and Shawna Anderson assisted the guests during the event and served the wedding party at the head table.

A really lovely afternoon in Bunkie, LA. Best Catered Events would like to wish the newlyweds a wonderful new life together! Best Wishes!!

Annie and Mitch got Hitched!!

Annie Miller married Mitch Aymond on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Le Manoir Fleuri in Moreauville, LA. The bride chose a vintage shabby chic themed reception with lots of twigs, feathers and buttons galore.

The event was supervised by owner Rick Evans and his staff members were, Bar Captain Wendy Chapman, Co-Captains Pat Jones, Kathy Jones, Barbara Sanabia and Chef Andrea Dunn Browning.

SUMMER NEWSLETTER

Hot, that is what it is in CENLA! Best Catered Events is booking and cooking for all kinds of events in and around CENLA, Shreveport, Natchitoches, Tioga, Alexandria, Bunkie, Moreauville, Plaucheville, Cottonport, Hessmer and all little communities in the area.

We are barbecuing, smoking fresh meats, churning homemade ice cream and making fresh banana pudding. We are still doing drop off meals for Pokeno groups as well as Lion Club banquets and family reunions and get togethers.

This weekend we will be providing food and staffing services for LSUA School of Medical Sciences Graduation to be held at the beautiful Coughlin Sanders Auditorium in Alexandria, LA. We are expecting 250+ and are doing passed martini glass appetizers, and that famous river of white and dark chocolate as well as 14 other choices for the guests.

All in all, Summer is off to a great start. We are busy working with our 2010 brides on their menus and event dates and start times. Looks like love is in the air, and there will be lots of weddings in 2010 for sure!

With an eye out ahead, we are beginning our preparations to ready the mobile kitchen and have it readied on quick notice should the need arise to provide meals during a hurricane, or other disaster.
