Lakin Chenevert and Dustin Moreau Got Married!!!

Lakin and Dustin got married in Plaucheville, LA and held the reception at the Haas Auditorium in Bunkie, LA. 

This bride has exquisite taste and attention to detail.  "To Have and To Hold" of Hessmer, LA, provided linens, chaircovers, backdrops and other details for the decor.  JOJO's Flowers of Bunkie and Marksville, LA provided the florals, Lisa Dupont and Nicole of Cake Creations of Mansura, provided the cakes, and Terry LaBorde of Terry's DJ Service kept the party rockin with the tunes!

Best Catered Events provided food, bar and service for the event.  The food tables were the longest we had ever done.  The menu included:  Chicken Tettrazini, Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya, Spinach Madeleine, Sweet and Sour Meatballs, Mini BLT's, fresh Spinach and Caesar Salads, Crudite cups, Assorted Cheeses, Raspberry Marscarpone Torte, Brandied Apricot and Fig Torta, Sun Dried Tomato, Feta and Pine Nut Torte, Smoked Whole Turkeys and Smoked Whole Hams, along with fresh fruit and freshly baked rolls. The staff passed appetizers of mini crawfish pies and voodoo mini cones as well as bacon roll ups. 

We featured the Sushi Table with Crunchy, Snow Crab, Philly and Snow Crab Rolls.  This table is always a popular place at our wedding receptions.

The bride had us feature the "MoreauTini", a blend of drunken fresh pineapple chunks soaked in Ciroc Frost Vodka and splashed with Pineapple Juice.  The Childrens' Corner featured a fruit punch fountain, a lollipop tree and a candy bar.

An Evening At Oakleigh House of Receptions 10-29-2010

Best Catered Events owner, Dianne Evans and her staff catered the reception for her Godchild, Christopher Lane Hughes and his bride Jana Schwartz Hughes at the Oakleigh House of Receptions in Denham Springs LA on Friday evening, October 29, 2010.

The 200 or so guests enjoyed the food and the band.  The cakes were provided by Best Cakes and not only looked great but tasted awesome!

The menu featured our Louisiana Crawfish Pasta, Chicken Cordon Bleu Pasta, Beef Brisket and Peppered Pork Loin, crawfish pies, seafood stuffed mushrooms, spinach artichoke dip, mini muffelettos, spicy shrimp dip, festive mexican bean dip, chocolate dipped strawberries, crudite cups, raspberry hazelnut torte, brandied apricot and fig torte and a whole lot of love!!!

Scott Moore Rehearsal Dinner At Greenwood Plantation in St. Francisville, LA

Scott Moore hosted the rehearsal dinner for their families and friends on Friday, October 29 at Greenwood Plantation in St. Francisville, LA.

The menu offered up Shrimp Etoufee with rice, Smoked Beef Brisket with freshly baked rolls, sweet and sour meatballs, raspberry marscarpone, finger sandwiches, stuffed new potatoes, crudite and fresh fruit and ended with chocolate Mississippi Mud Pie.

Crystal Hoyt's Chords for a Cure- October 28, 2010-Alexandria, LA

Rapides Regional Medical Center Cancer Center, KRRV 100.3, Southwest Beverage Company, American Cancer Society, Hematology Oncology Life Center and Best Catered Events were sponsors of the Crystal Hoyt's Chords for a Cure on Thursday, October 28, in Alexandria, LA.

The silent auction had an autographed Toby Keith Guitar, along with lots of other goodies up for the highest bidder.  There was a signed Saints Super Bowl Football, signed CD's, spa packages, tour jackets, overnight stays, gift certificates, jewelry, paintings, lamps, autographed baseballs, jerseys, a little of everything was auctioned for this worthwhile cause.

Best Catered Events is proud to be a sponsor of this worthwhile event.  Best Catered Events Owner,  Dianne Evans' mom, Syble Holder is a breast cancer survivor, her niece, Melissa Miller,  an AML Leukemia survivor and she herself is a cancer survivor for almost 10 years now!  This cause hits very close to home...and we gave our time and our Catering With A Heart most freely...thank you to everyone that helped with this very successful evening of music, love, and stories of hope.

Catering in Baton Rouge!!

Best Catered Events owner, Dianne Evans reports that the company is constantly back and forth from Marksville to Baton Rouge creating memorable events. Yes, Baton Rouge, we are back!!

Best Catered Events plans to open a new commissary and office in the Baton Rouge area in 2011.  Plans are underway and groundbreaking will take place in the late Spring.

South Baton Rouge Church of Christ Lunch

South Baton Rouge Church of Christ held services and had lunch afterwards on Sunday, October 24 in Baton Rouge, LA.

Best Catered Events cooked the following menu on site:

Homestyle Green Beans
Garlic Bread
BLT Salad with Ranch
Homemade Cookies

The weather and fellowship were perfect!  Best Catered Events, always cooking somewhere!

Jade Brouliette and Colby Daire Reception at Avoyelles Plaza Ballroom - October 22, 2010

Jade and Colby got married in Hessmer on Friday, October 22.  The newlyweds, their families and friends all gathered at the Avoyelles Plaza Ballroom for a fun reception. 

Upon entering the hall, guests enjoyed passed h'd's and a beer, wine and champagne bar.  A Munchkin Table created a buzz for the younger crowd with mac and cheese, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, crudite cups with ranch dip, and bbq meatballs. 

The bride chose champagne and chocolate as her colors and the overall effect was beautiful.  Best Catered Events provided food and bar for the evening.  JoJo's Flowers did the arrangements that were breathtaking, "To Have and To Hold " from Hessmer, LA. did the linens and decor in the hall and Lisa Dupont and Nicole from Cake Creations did the cakes.  Fat Boys South provided the music and this caterer loved, loved, loved the music they played.  The vendors all come highly recommended!

Society for Historical Louisiana Gala-Old Governor's Mansion-Baton Rouge, LA

Excitement, good food, music, dancing and a silent auciton were all a part of the Gala at The Louisiana Old Governor's Mansion in Baton Rouge, LA. 

Best Catered Events hosted our Grits and Gumbo bar.  Guests enjoyed our creamy polenta and fresh corn grits topped with our Chorizo Sausage, Lobster and Crabmeat Gumbo.

So many nice vendors visited with Best Catered Events owner Dianne Evans and her assistant Kathy Jones.

Carolyn from Heirloom Cuisine and Rhonda from Courtland's Catering did an excellent job of coordinating the food for the event. Special thanks to Allie Wester of Weddings by Allie, who did a fantastic job once again!

April Baum and Kerry Roach Wedding and Reception @ Melady House- Alexandria, LA

The weather was perfect, the venue lovely and April Baum was absolutely stunning on her wedding day at Melady House in Alexandria, LA.

Earthy tones of brown, ivory and neutrals set the tone of the decor the bride chose.  Best Catered Events featured a "Mashed Potato Bar" and a "Chocolate River" in addition to the menu selected by the bride and groom for the special day.
