Thomas-Vidrine Wedding - Loyd Hall - December 17, 2011

Lindsie Vidrine married the love of her life surrounded by their families and close friends on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the beautiful Loyd Hall in CENLA.

The evening before, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner for the couple where the well wishes flowed and an enjoyable time was enjoyed by family and friends.  The rehearsal itself, was beautiful in the crisp evening air out in front of Loyd Hall.

Guests enjoyed appetizers of voodoo cheese cones and phyllo crab cups while waiting for the bride and groom to enjoy their first dances.  Once opened the buffet offered up a crowd pleasing menu of Shrimp and
Grits, Blackened Chicken Alfredo, Smoked Beef Brisket and Ham with freshly baked rolls, ham and asparagus rolls, cheesey asparagus bites, warm caramel with apple slices and warm chocolate fondue with fresh fruit, marshmallows and cookies as dippers.  Our Holiday Punch was also enjoyed by those wishing to not partake in the bar manned by Loyd Hall.

There was a coffee and hot cocoa station set up outside under the pavillion where we featured coffee with several toppings and cocoa with chantilly cream, peppermint dust, chocolate shavings, hazelnut syrup, vanilla syrup and amaretto syrup.  There was a chill in the air and this station was quite popular.  The bride told me that she loved chocolate and I think she made a great choice for her Winter Wedding.

Kara Larson got Married! Loyd Hall - 9-3- 2011

The beautiful Loyd Hall Plantation in CENLA became the setting for the wedding of Kara Larson on Saturday, September 3, 2011.

Best Catered Events provided food and service for the newlyweds and their guests.  The menu was Louisiana Crawfish Etouffee with rice, Smoked Beef Brisket, Cold Spicy Shrimp dip, crudite Cups, Assorted Finger Sandwiches, Mini Crawfish Pies, Voodoo Cheese, Fresh Fruit and Cheeses and Blackberry Iced Tea.

Guests were from all over and they came for a Southern experience and they got one at this reception.  The DJ kept the crowd moving and they had an awesome evening at Loyd Hall.

Jessica Grubbs Got Married!

Jessica chose Loyd Hall Plantation for her reception site immediately following her wedding at her home church.

Floral Addiction provided beautiful fresh florals for the setting and everyone commented on them.  Her cakes were by Kristin's Confections and her catering was provided by Best Catered Events. 

Having catered the rehearsal dinner the evening before, the staff knew alot of the guests by name and they were a very fun and friendly crowd.

Thank you to Jessica.  We know you could have chosen any company to cater your special day, and are honored that we were your choice!

Amanda and Bobby Got Hitched - April 9, 2011 - Loyd Hall Plantation

This couple was a pure joy to work with during the planning for their reception.  Both were very comfortable and laid back and absolutely the sweetest couple this owner has met in a long time!

Upon arrival at the beautiful Loyd Hall Plantation, Best Catered Events owner, Dianne Evans, noticed the breathtaking ceremony set up chosen by this couple.  Fuschia, white and charcoal gray were the chosen colors and when I asked Amanda why a few weeks ago, she said her first flowers from Bobby were hot pink Stargazers and roses.  She wanted that special remembrance as part of their day, and it was!

I loved the shoes the bridesmaids wore, the kissing balls hanging at the ceremony, and the cake!  Such a cake this caterer hasn't seen in a long time.  I didn't get the name of the baker, but have been promised a number for her, so call me and I will hopefully have it by then.

The favors were hot pink, chocolate covered mints in shot glasses and so cute.  The bride and groom thoroughly enjoyed their reception, visiting with each guest and smiling the entire time.

12-18-2010 Reception @ Loyd Hall Plantation

Best Catered Events provided food and service for the reception on Saturday, December 18th at Loyd Hall.
The ceremony took place in the front of the home and the guests all gathered on the porch for this intimate and very personal wedding.

We did our black and silver look on the food tables and with the chill in the air, the hot apple cider and flavored coffee station were both popular items of the day.

The cakes were so detailed and absolutely breathtaking.  The groom's cake was a stack of law books, you actually were tempted to open one up!

The bride was beautiful, the groom very handsome and the whole afternoon was picture perfect. Best Catered Events really enjoys working with Eddie Ponce at Loyd Hall on events.
