We did a brown tablescape with yellow flower accents and featured our "Over The Rainbow" Seafood Nachos for the guests enjoyment.  We enjoyed serving the dish to the surprise and delight of the attendees that visited us at our table.

Although we didn't win the competition, we had a great time.  An awesome, well organized event indeed.

Rachel Got Married! April 24, 2012 Melady House- ALexandria, LA

Rachel Guillory had a vision for her Wedding Day and she followed through with that vision.  The weather cleared up early in the day and a glorious evening on the back lawn of the Melady House awaited the bride as she exchanged vows with her beloved surrounded by family and friends.

The arbor was gorgeous!  Twinkling candles, fresh flowers and greenery, just an absolute setting for this special couple.  As Rachel's dad escorted her down the rose petal adorned path, you could hear the gasp from the crowd.  An absolutely breathtaking bride, time stood still as Rachel approached her waiting groom, Brandon Brett Thomas.

After a special exchange of vows and rings the guests were encouraged to enjoy appetizers of Vietnamese Spring Rolls with Peanut Sauce in black Asian boxes, Mini Crawfish Pies and fresh Veggie Crudite Cups.

A "Made To Order Pasta Bar" was featured in the middle room and the main buffet table was in the ballroom. Guests chose from Shrimp and Crab Stuffed Jumbo Mushrooms, BBQ meatballs, Ham and Asparagus Roll Ups,  Mini BLT's, Fresh Fruit, Brandied Apricot and Fig Tortes, Peppered Pork and Smoked Beef Brisket with freshly baked rolls.

The cakes were awesome!  The bride chose a very traditional cake and the groom's cake was a Subway Sandwich....and what a sandwich it was!  That cake looked so real, and everyone just loved it.

Best Catered Events wishes to thank Rachel for choosing us to cater her Special Day.  Many memories were made on your wedding day, and we were honored to have played a small part in helping you achieve your vision.  Much Love and Happiness Always

Caitlyn Adams and Jason Braud- April 14, 2012 - Greenwood Plantation

On Saturday, April 14, 2012 with the backdrop of the beautiful Greenwood Plantation and the moss covered trees moving in the early evening air Caitlyn Adams and Jason Braud pledged their love one to another.

Family and friends surrounded the precious couple and Caitlyn was one very excited bride.  For her special day, this beautiful bride wore her favorite boots and her whole theme and her vision for this most Special Day were evident everywhere.

There were beautiful sunflowers brought in by Billy Heroman's Florist and the cakes were both specatcular. The groom's cake was an LSU cake and the biggest one this caterer has seen in a long time.  The bride's cake had a black satin ribbon on each tier and was flanked by those big fresh sunflowers. Creative Cakes by Vicky out of Plaquemine, La did a great job on these cakes.

The table decor for this event was natural burlap with lace overlays.  We used bird nests, fresh sunflowers and twigs, along with bottles and mason jars with candles.

The couple had met with Best Catered Events' owner, Dianne Evans awhile back and selected the following menu for their guests enjoyment.  Over and over throughout the evening the compliments came.  The guests really enjoyed the foods that Caitlyn and Jason had chosen.

Team members Bonnie Baxley and Stephanie Jones passed shrimp and crab stuffed jumbo mushrooms and our crawfish and roasted corn stuffed jumbo mushrooms while pictures were taken out on the front of the house.  The guests entered where the buffet was set up on the main dining table.  Mini Crawfish Pies, BBQ hand rolled Meatballs, Taco Roll Ups, Mini Muffelettos, Ham and Asparagus Roll Ups, Veggie Pizza Squares, Smoked Beef Brisket with rolls and Blackened Chicken Alfredo rounded out the menu.  Wendy Chapman and Rick Evans worked the soft drink and punch tables out on the back patio for the guests enjoyment throughout the dining and dancing.

Best Catered Events wishes the newlyweds many happy memories of their Special Day.  May God Bless You Both!

South Baton Rouge Church of Christ

South Baton Rouge Church of Christ held it's annual Easter Egg Hunt and barbeque day on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at the grounds on Highland Road.

400 plus came and they enjoyed the fellowship and the weather was glorious!  The Easter Bunny even made and appearance and their were egg hunts for children of all ages.  All of those eggs were hidden by the youth of Greater Atlanta Christian School, who came from Atlanta to help with this event.  I was very touched by their youth director and the passion with which these young adults had worked so hard helping elderly and doing other projects to assist during their break from school.

Best Catered Events grilled 400 all beef burgers, 400 all meat hot dogs and all the fixings along with potato chips, coleslaw and sugar cookies.  Everyone enjoyed the meal and we were thanked over and over again.

Thank you to everyone at South Baton Rouge Church of Christ for once again choosing Best Catered Events to provide food for your group.  We take great pride in our repeat customers.

Happy Easter and May God Continue to Bless each of you!

It's "O'fish'al!",Alicia and Granger Get Hooked on Marriage!

Alicia and Granger met way back in high school and though they ran with different friends and their lives went different directions, they met and fell in love later on.

Like waiting on that fish to take the bait, they were patient in their relationship and it grew slowly and strong.  This fun loving couple loves fishing and they even have a camp where they spend alot of their free time.

For their reception on Saturday, April 30, 2012, they chose a plated meal on the patio under the stars and twinkling white lights at the breathtaking Greenwood Plantation in St. Francisville, LA.

White floor length tablecloths, brushed silver chargers, purple linen napkins with rhinestone studded napkin rings and gorgeous centerpieces completed the tables.  The bride's aunt, owner of Storybook Weddings, coordinated and decorated for this most special occasion.

The menu was Mixed Varietal Lettuces with our famous Raspberry Vinagrette, Shrimp Fettuccini, Homestyle Green Beans, Whole Wheat Rolls with butter and iced tea.

The favors that the guests received were precious cookies shaped like corks and fish....so cute..Best Catered Events wishes you the best as you begin your life together!
