Revelers got the crowd excited while awaiting the announcement and arrival of the King and Queen.
This year's King was Gary Weeks and Queen was Bev LeBlanc! They were so excited and King Gary told the crowd, "Let the Party Begin". Queen Bev smiled while saying, "Pass A Good Time!" The King and Queen had their Royal Toast and the party began.
Door prizes were awarded throughout the evening, the dj music rocked the crowd with favorite tunes and games of fun were going on along with an open buffet and king cakes for dessert!
Best Catered Events provided a menu of Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya, Sweet and Sour Meatballs, Smoked Drummettes, Veggie Pizza Bites, Crudite in cucumber cups with chipotle ranch dip, fresh fruit, chicken salad croissants, taco rolls, old fashioned ham with freshly baked rolls, summer punch and our almond tea(which was made with Splenda for our diabetic friends).
After dinner, the costume and dance contest started. So many participants and there were some awesome costumes for sure. Since this owner was asked to be a judge for the costume contest, I got to see firsthand the thought and work that went into every creation. There were prizes for the top three costumes. Jane won the contest with her red and black (true to the theme) costume and the attitude with which she wore it! She was overcome with emotion upon the announcement and the presentation of the prize of $50 cash!
The evening continued with the famous "Pass the Football" game, an updated version of the hot potato game...all the participants had so much fun....and we enjoyed watching this one as well.
