Brides, Brides, Everywhere A Bride .... and her Groom!!

Having catered for many years, we often times see some of our "Catering Family Members" as we are out and about all over Louisiana.  On Friday, August 17, 2012, Jason and Loree Ramezan were in attendance at the wedding reception of Ben and Krista Love at the Louisiana State Museum.

They looked great!  Jason told me that they had just celebrated their 10 year anniversary.  Such an overwhelming feeling when you run into past couples that remember your name, your voice and what you look like.  We try so hard to build a relationship with each couple that choose us as the caterer for their special day.  I, myself always get connected as we address all the concerns that they have and all the dreams we will help them achieve on their most special day.

I remember like it was yesterday when I met Jason and Loree.  We immediately clicked.  They were ten years younger, as was I, and so very excited to plan their reception.  I actually convinced them to wait to book a venue until my former one was completed and ready for occupancy.  They did just that, and through the years I was in that location, several of their friends chose us to cater their receptions as well.  They were excited to eat our delicious food once again also, and they loved the spread last night.  Styles may change but if you like something, you remember it.  Jason said it was, "better than he remembered".

Such a compliment!  Jason and Loree and I caught up and plan to stay in touch.  After all, we have been Family for over 10 years now!

A Love Bench, Crawfish Bread and a Tiger Rag Groom's Cake - Friday, August 17, 2012

When Krista Allen and Ben Love made the choices for their special day, they made sure they covered all the bases!

This awesome couple was united in holy matrimony on Friday, August 17, 2012 at St. Agnes Catholic church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The backdrop for their reception was the Louisiana State Capitol.  The Louisiana State Museum proved to be the perfect venue.  There was seating inside the museum where it was nice and quiet, along with food, bar and cakes.

A second bar outside provided easy access to those guests dancing the night away to the tunes played by X-Pert DJ.  Guests commented all during the evening that they loved the song selections and there was much activity out by the reflecting pool all evening.

Rhonda Searcy provided beautiful florals, uplighting was by X-Pert DJ, and The Cocoa Bean Bakery, Executive Pastry Chef, Anthony Delpidio hand delivered the cakes.  The chocolate groom's cake was a crowd favorite with it's cookie layer, brownie layer and oh so much decadent chocolate ganache.  A fondant Georgia Bulldog and LSU Tiger completed the creation.  The bride's cake featured the couples monogram and exquisite detailing.

The newlyweds had picked the menu for the evening a few months before and the variety was great.

Best Catered Events staff members Stephanie Brown, Verlin Wickel, Bonnie Baxley, Brenda Kelley, Charli Androne, Wendy Chapman,  Syble Ashford, Jill Guillory and Cassie Parker provided excellent customer service to all the guests.  This team is very customer service oriented and the guests complimented them all during the evening for their attention to detail.

Tonight's passed appetizers of voodoo cheese on a bong bong chip, stuffed new potatoes, ham and asparagus roll ups and a Summer berry salad served in a black asian box kept the appetites in check while the guests began arriving for the reception.

The main buffet table offered up Shrimp and Bowtie Pasta, Louisiana Crawfish Etouffee with rice, Spinach and Artichoke Dip with crackers, Cheesey Jalapeno Bites, Veggie Bites, Mini Muffelettos, Smoked Beef Brisket, Smoked Pork Tenderloin, Louisiana Crawfish Bread, fresh fruit and vegetable crudite cups.  Refreshing Summer Punch was enjoyed as well.

Weddings are always so much fun!  Having catered over 24 years and tonight we saw a first. "The Love Bench", handcrafted by a family member was signed by those in attendance and will be sealed and serve as a momento of the special day and those in attendance.

So the Georgia Bulldog and the LSU Tiger.....hmmm....a very interesting combination.....and the perfect recipe for
H A P P I N E S S!!!

Best wishes Ben and Krista....when you feel the need for Crawfish Bread, give your favorite caterer a call!
