Nicole Huffstetter and her fiance Matt Lynch pledged their love one to the other in her home church in beautiful St Francisville, LA and followed the ceremony with a fun reception for family and friends at Greenwood Plantation.
Nicole loves cobalt blue, red roses and her ideas for her reception were very beautiful. We used some vintage blue glassware and covered all of the food tables in black linens.
Some of the guest menu selections were Smoked Beef Brisket, Peppered Pork Loin, Chicken Salad Croissants, Veggie Squares, Sundried Tomato and Feta Torte, Fresh Fruit and Veggie Crudites,
The cakes were gorgeous! Guests raved over all the food and despite the 90 plus degree weather, the day was perfect.
Congratulations Nicole and Matt. Much happiness as you begin your married life together. Thank you for choosing Best Catered Events for your Special Day.
Food is such a social thing, and so many memories involve it in some way. This blog contains special family moments and events we create for our clients.

Hollie and Micah Sevitts - June 9, 2012....Baton Rouge, LA
When Hollie Chapaneri and Micah Sevitts first met, they were in heaven on earth, on the big island of Hawaii. The relationship quickly took off and finally on Saturday, June 9, 2012 they became husband and wife.
Hollie looked absolutely gorgeous in her bridal gown from Stardust in Dallas. Escorted by her father, Kishor Chapaneri, she floated down to join the handsome love of her life. Micah was seen by this caterer, almost sprinting to get down the aisle, just moments earlier. Excitement was in the air on the River Terrace of the Shaw Center For The Arts in beautiful, downtown Baton Rouge.
After an intimate ceremony under the clear tents and with twinkling white lights, the couple were off to have pictures taken in the Shaw Center. Guests were greeted by Best Catered Events team members, Brenda Kelley, Charli Androne, Bonnie Baxley, Wendy Chapman and Stephanie Brown. Taco Rolls, mini crawfish pies and cheesey jalapeno bites were offered up and enjoyed by everyone. The buffet was opened and Chef Dustin Quibodeaux and the team assisted the guests in making their selections. This bride and groom had made awesome menu choices and the guests were more than thrilled. Smoked Beef Brisket, Smoked Turkey Breast, Louisiana Crawfish Etoufee, Blackened Chicken Alfredo, Stuffed New Potatoes, Stuffed Eggs, Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Mini Muffelettos, Plantation Sandwiches, Fresh Fruit and Crudite with Ranch Dip and Peach Tea. Alongside we offered up a table of Indian food which was enjoyed as well.
Complete Music did a great job of entertaining and keeping this crowd on the dance floor. Christine with the Shaw Center did her usual outstanding job and a great time was enjoyed by all. The tents, tables, chairs and linens were furnished by Doug Olinde, LLC. On time delivery and beautifully pressed linens completed the outside setting.
Best Catered Events wishes Hollie and Micah a wonderful new life together.....maybe when you are married, say 20 years.....you could hire this caterer to do an anniversary celebration with you in....uh....Hawaii???? Love you Hollie!!! Mrs. Dianne

Micah and Hollie's Rehearsal Dinner - June 8, 2012
When Best Catered Events owner, Dianne Evans was first contacted by Donna Sevitts from Ohio, it was to inquire about a rehearsal dinner for her son, Micah. When Dianne found out it was for one of our own, Hollie Chapaneri, it became an honor! Of course, we would love to cater the rehearsal dinner. We had booked the reception almost immediately after the engagement and date were set.
The First Christian Church in Baton Rouge provided the perfect setting for the rehearsal. This has been Hollie's home church her entire life! Afterwards, we preset garden salads and then served buffet style dinner plates to the guests in attendance.
The menu was: Smoked Beef Brisket, Seafood Fandango, Old Fashioned Mac and Cheese, Fire Kissed Garden Vegetables, Garlic Bread, Apple Pie, Bread Pudding with Pecan Praline Sauce and homemade King Cake.
The tables were decorated with purple and gold fresh flowers and Mardi Gras Memorabilia. Everyone had a great time visiting and we certainly wish them the best!

Gulf Valve Service - 45th Anniversary Celebration - Friday, June 1, 2012
When Gulf Valve Service on Old Jefferson Hwy in Baton Rouge, Louisiana planned the luncheon for the company's 45th Anniversary on Friday, June 1, Best Catered Events provided the catering.
Guests were customers, friends, the employees and owners and families of this fine company. The large, air conditioned warehouse was transformed into a nice setting for the luncheon for the hundred or so in attendance for the celebration. Some traveled from Texas just to attend this special occasion!
Appetizers of Seafood Mushrooms, Cold Spicy Shrimp Dip and a beautiful fruit bouquet sent by a well wisher got those in attendance ready for their meal. 10 ounce Filet Mignon, Bacon Wrapped Jumbo Gulf Shrimp, Grilled Tilapia with Butter/Lemon Sauce, Double Stuffed Potatoes, Machoux Corn, Veggie Delight, Soft Yeast Rolls w/ Butter, Anniversary Cakes in both white and chocolate and iced tea. The buffet was a very popular place to be.
Best Catered Events wishes Gulf Valve Service another 45 years of success!
