Weddings With Style Bridal Show - Hemingbough - Sunday, March 25, 2012









Best Catered Events put on "Vintage Tea Party" this afternoon in the Weddings With Style bridal show at the breathtaking Hemingbough  in St. Francisville, LA.  The weather was just perfect for an afternoon of visiting with vendors, tasting food, watching the bridal fashion show and wandering the lovely grounds of Hemingbough.  We heard over and over, just how beautiful the facility and grounds were.

So many brides, grooms, bridesmaids, maids of honor, mother in laws to be, we just had a wonderful afteroon.  Owner, Dianne Evans and Chef  Dustin Quibodeaux of Best Catered Events served up a
"Vintage Lunch Box" .  Small paper boxes were filled with homemade chicken salad, creamy pimento cheese, open face cucumber and dill and pineapple pecan finger sandwiches along with salmon mousse and cold shrimp dip.  We also offered our Basil Peach Iced Tea, which was such an afternoon favorite.

Best Catered Events really enjoyed our "Vintage Tea Party".  We saw five of our brides to be during the show.  We are always excited to see them out and about and we visit and catch up.  We enjoy getting to know our brides and grooms and do our best to provide a wonderful catering experience for each one.  They all become like family to us. Thanks to everyone involved for a wonderful show this afternoon!

Hard Hats and High Heels!

The Rapides Habitat for Humanity held their Hard Hats and High Heels event on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the Riverfront Center in beautiful downtown Alexandria, Louisiana. Best Catered Events was thrilled to be the chosen caterer for such a worthwhile event.

Guests viewed the Live Auction items and placed bids on the Silent Auction items during the cocktail hour.  The Best Catered Events "Food Construction Team" members passed Salmon Mousse on Asian spoons, Spicy Shrimp Dip in Filo Shells, BLT's and Chicken and Waffles with a honey syrup pipette.

After a few brief announcements, the buffet was opened and the guests loved everything!  Louisiana Crawfish and Fresh Gulf Shrimp Pasta, Applewood Bacon Wrapped Green Bean Bundles, Signature Bacon Roll Ups, Seasonal Crudite in Flower Cups with Chipotle Ranch Dip, Ham and Asparagus Rolls, Shrimp and Crab Stuffed Jumbo Mushrooms, Peppered Pork Loin with Freshly Baked Rolls and Condiments, and Fried Fish Tacos.

The Best Catered Events,  "Sweet Endings" table was popular all evening.  Lemon Mousse in cones, Chocolate Mousse in mini martini glasses with a raspberry drizzle, freshly made lemon bars, Strawberry Shortcakes, Berries and Cream, Chocolate Dipped Strawberries and fresh Louisiana strawberries with Gran Marnier dip.

It was a pleasure to provide the catering for this Rapides Habitat for Humanity event.

Linda Haskell is Going Home! 3/16/2012

"Leave Me Alone, I'm Going Home!"  The cake said it all at the retirement party for Linda Haskell on Friday, March 16, 2012.

Since red is Linda's favorite color, we used it everywhere.  The honoree's family members and friends along with her work family enjoyed the celebration of her many years at AJG.






Best Catered Events served Chicken Sharonne, Mini Crawfish Pies, Ham and Asparagus Rolls, Assorted Finger Sandwiches, Crabmeat Mornay, Veggie Crudite Cups, Chocolate Dipped Strawberries, fresh fruit and cheese and Peach Punch.

Best wishes for a wonderful retirement.   By the way, you can go home now!
