Best Catered Events owner, Dianne Evans and Team Member, Stephanie Brown joined area vendors for an evening of mingling and sharing information at the beautiful Camelot Club in downtown Baton Rouge.
Having never been to the facility, we were given a tour by Lauren Fournerat, the Catering Director for the facility. The view is awesome and we thoroughly enjoyed the food provided by the wonderful chefs and staff this evening. The bar and wait staff also did an excellent job.

Goodbye 2011....Welcome 2012
As we say goodbye to 2011, we will remember both happy and sad times over the past 12 months.
We have watched as family members have gone on and good friends have lost their spouses. We continue to watch our dear friends as they struggle day to day just to stay alive. We watch what our government is doing and not doing.
We have seen new lives this year....baby Luke is bringing alot of joy with his happy self. We are getting back in touch with our family after being away for oh so long. We are trying diligently to reconnect with some of our old friends but to no avail. It is hard to lose a friend when you are older, they are just such a treasure and one you want around you.
We have watched those we love and care about fight daily battles with cancer, kidney failure, heart problems, alzheimers and other medical conditions.
We have watched from afar things that were once so beautiful, not ever look quite the same.
But through it all, we have SURVIVED 2011! Bad weather, a move back to the Baton Rouge area, new clients, new babies, yes, we have survived.
2012 is fast approaching....what will it bring....we pray for continued health and a good solid foundation for our small business. People know they can count on us, and we want them to....that is our wish...May God Continue to Bless Each of You and Shower you with Love.....Amen
To our small team....we wish to thank you for believing in us....for hanging in there with us...for working so hard ....and for being our friends throughout this past year...to our family....you are the reason we started this whole crazy catering thing all those many years ago...one day soon, Bailee, Ty, Dylan and Evans can cater if they like it....or they can, as some of my friends used to say..(before they started doing this catering thing and fell in love with it too)....'GET A REAL JOB!......Happy New Year!!!!!

Holiday Open House and Brunch 12-10-2011
Mrs. Pat Cowart hosted a Holiday Brunch and Open House at her lovely new home in Central on Saturday, December 10, 2011.
Mrs. Cowart's daughters and granddaughters showed the guests around the home's interior which was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The outside courtyard with brick fireplace was quite the gathering place and the large island made for easy access for the food offerings.
Best Catered Events owner, Dianne Evans and staff members Stephanie Brown and Verlin Wickel provided our Seafood Fandango Pasta, Fruited Spinach Salad with Cranberry Vinagrette, Fresh Chicken Salad Croissants, Louisiana Stuffed Crawfish Bread, Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Dates, Voodoo Cheese, Fresh Fruit, Peach Iced Tea and assorted mini holiday desserts.
A very nice way to start off one of our busiest Saturdays in December! Merry Christmas from Best Catered Events!

Sunshine Foundation Gala- November 15, 2011
Once again the Louisiana Old Governor's Mansion was the perfect setting for the Sunshine Foundation Gala.
Several restaurants and caterers provided food for the attendees. We saw Heirloom Cuisine, Tony's Seafood and Sweet Bliss among others. Miss Louisiana Northwest was there and she tried out our salad offerings too.
For this event Best Catered Events featured our "Walkin to New Orleans" Banana Crepes, our "No Evidence Caesar Salad", Sweet-Sweet Charlotte Salad and the Vertical Caesar.
Such a worthwhile event for a great cause! Thanks for inviting us to participate. We'll see you in 2012!

January 30, 2011 PWG Bridal Showcase-Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Best Catered Events participated in the PWG Bridal Showcase in Baton Rouge, LA on Sunday, January 30th.
Our booth was right across from our good friend Jeremiah Rasco and his company Prestone's Catering. The brides were so excited with the fashion show and all of the vendor giveaways and we enjoyed visiting with many of them as they made their way around the Baton Rouge River Center.
2011 is going to be a stellar wedding year. Love is in the Air.....and Definitely in Baton Rouge!!

Jessica Partin and Stuart Sonnier - December 10, 2010
Louisiana's Old State Capitol was the location chosen by the bride and groom for their winter reception in Baton Rouge, LA, on Friday, December 10, 2010.
Best Catered Events provided the food and beverages for the evening. Guests arrived to an open bar and passed h'd's chosen by the happy couple for the occasion. Kyleen Kiger-Smith of Fairy Dust Cakes made awesome cakes, Cottage Path Florist provided the beautiful fresh florals and Allie Wester of Weddings by Allie coordinated both the wedding and the evening's reception activities. This crowd loved to dance, and dance they did to the sounds of The Carbon Copy Band.
We could tell early on that this crowd would have a good time. The bride's dad, Mr. Joe Partin, was Best Catered Events owner, Dianne Evans former boss at Zachary High School and we were honored to cater this event for the family. The night seemed to end almost as quickly as it began. So many former personnel from ZHS were on hand, it was so good to visit and "catch up".
Jessica and Stuart, may your lives be blessed with memories as wonderful as the ones you made on December 10, 2010. Hold them close to your chests and be thankful for every moment of each day. Best Catered Events wishes you all the best and a heartfelt "thank you" from the bottom of our hearts.
