Lee Guitreau Retirement Celebration - July 26, 2011

With a huge cake reading "Goodbye Tension, Hello Pension" sitting on the end of the buffet table, there was absolutely no denying that someone was leaving!

Lee Guitreau retired this afternoon after 16 years with the Gallagher Company in Baton Rouge, LA.  Lee was so excited to share this afternoon with her family and her "work family".  There were very nice speeches and alot of laughter and good memories were shared with everyone in attendance.

Best Catered Events provided Lee's choices for her menu:  Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya, Crabmeat AuGratin w/crackers, Sweet and Sour Meatballs, Mini Muffalettos, Spicy Cold Shrimp Dip w/crackers, Fresh Fruit and Cheese, Summer Punch and OOey Gooey Bars, Lemon Bars and Chocolate Dipped Strawberries.

Glenda and Randy......At Last....July 23, 2011

At Last.....my love will come along.. Glenda Fortenberry and Randy Thomas pledged their love before an intimate gathering of their families and closest friends on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the lovely Victorian located on Hwy 10 in St. Francisville, LA.

The couple chose this location as the backdrop for the ceremony and reception.  As guests arrived and entered the home, they were greeted by Best Catered Events team member, Verlin Wickel serving fresh Southern Peach Tea and Garden Cucumber water.  The temperature was in the high 90's and the couple wanted their guests to be relaxed and comfortable.  It had rained off and on all afternoon, so everyone was anxious to get inside.

Immediately following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their friends were served appetizers of mini crawfish pies and "voodoo cheese in mini smoked cones" by team members Verlin Wickel and Stephanie Brown.  These two ladies are very valuable members of the Best Catered Events team and as always were their attentive and friendly selves and did an awesome job.

With the bar open and the band, Swingaroux, playing the newlywed's favorites, the guests enjoyed the meal of Seafood Fandango Pasta, Asparagus with Ham Rollups, Shrimp and Crab Mushrooms, Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Salmon Rosettes, Mini Muffelettos, Pepper Crusted Pork Tenderloin, Crudite with Chipotle Ranch Dip, Fresh Fruit tinis with Gran Marnier Creme Drizzle and other favorites.








Nannette Mayhall provided a lovely wedding cake that everyone loved.  It was so beautiful with the white chocolate curls and a dessert assortment of chocolates for the groom's table. Best Catered Events owner, Dianne Evans, wishes to thank Janice MacDonald, Manager of the Victorian St Francisville,  for her assistance in making the day flawless.  Glenda and Randy......your Best Catered Events team wishes you all the best in your new married life.....all we can say is..............A T   ....... Courtney and Dane 7/9/2011

Saturday afternoon Robert and Krista Bruns hosted a couples shower for Courtney and Dane.  This cute couple is planning to tie the knot in Starksville, MS on September 17,2011.

After their wedding the guests will enjoy the reception at this old renovated theatre called "The Ritz" in Starksville.

The guests at the shower enjoyed Best Catered Events' seafood fandango pasta, crawfish bread, crudite with chipotle ranch dip, cold spicy shrimp dip, fresh fruit, mini blt's, fresh spinach salad and garden caesar with housemade croutons and a caesar dressing all served up in jumbo martini glasses.  The cake was from Baums and was delicious!
