Corey Jeansonne and Denise Stroud pledged their love in the vows they said on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the beautiful Loyd Hall Plantation in Cheneyville, LA. Family and friends were gathered for this very special and intimate ceremony.
Music was provided by Mad Hatter DJ Services and Lily B. Photography captured all the special moments on film. Best Catered Events, Baton Rouge, LA, provided the catering for the reception immediately following the bride and groom and father daughter dances.
Guests were served passed h'ordeuvres of curried chicken cones with a roasted cranberry and jalapeno chicken cups with caramelized, sweet Italian onion garnish. The Loyd Hall staff provided a bar and
Best Catered Events provided a Southern Tea Bar with 4 teas for the guests enjoyment. the main buffet table offered up smoked beef brisket with freshly baked yeast rolls, Green Bean Bundles w/ a honey drizzle, stuffed new potatoes, fiesta corn dip w/chips, mini muffelettos, bacon-onion pinwheels, crawfish stuffed bread, fire grilled vegetables, fresh fruit and voodoo cheese.
The bride had a lovely fall themed wedding cake with 3 different flavors, and Corey had a groom's cake table that was composed of cheesecakes sitting on cut planks of white oak. The look inside Loyd Hall Plantation was both warm and inviting, and the candy bar featured Mason jars full of all kinds of candy corn!
Our bride and groom were so happy. Denise has been alot of fun to work with on planning her special day, and I will miss our brainstorming sessions.
Throughout the space, we noticed origami cranes placed in strategic locations such as on the wedding cake table, groom's cake table, by the Wishing Tree and outside under the pavillion. When Dianne Evans asked the bride about the cranes' she shared that they were a private thing between her and Corey that went way back to before they even started dating and they were a sign that, "we are made for each other and will be together forever!"
Late in the evening, this precious couple gave Best Catered Events the white oak planks that Corey had cut and Denise had varnished. Dianne Evans, asked Corey to sign them and he went one better, he actually took out his pocket knife and carved his and Denise's initials in a heart.....how special....how sweet...we promise to use them and always think of you and your special day at Loyd Hall!
Best Wishes and a lifetime of love and happiness for the "cranes", who are now together, forever!
